visitation 3 : aspiration
"Humanity's destiny :
an exponent of the mind of god,"
he said.
"These angels
bring forth a new aeon,
conceived in a heaven beyond heaven
forged out of chaos."
I looked one way
and then the other.
Just where do these so-called angels
come from? I asked.
"They've always been here,
hidden, dreaming.
It requires our awakening,
requires acceptance,
active intelligence."
I raised my eyes,
looked into the clouds
dark and thundering.
Somehow,
I thought,
I will become that sky
and continue upward
until I become the stars
then out beyond that
until the angels in me
are indistinguishable
from my soul.
